This culture of getting your shave, haircut etc done on the roadsides have almost died in cities, still prevelant (though not in huge no.s) in village side. Was surprised to see such a scene in the busy Saidapet, a man getting his morning shave done on the sidewalk. I guess its thanks to some ritual he’s to do at the nearby temple i guess.
As a practise many in Hinduism offer their hair to god and get their heads shaved / tonsured or in some cases offer that for the dead in their family.

That’s a fantastic shot! I’ve been travelling through Rajasthan for 3 weeks and I’ve seen many similar scenes, but, as you said, not in the big cities…
