Its a classic Chevrolet Fleetmasters, from the late 1940’s. These sedans were “fat tendered” cars suiting the then fashion / trend among car buyers.
I guess this one is owned by the Management of New Woodlands hotel and can be found in a very good condition in their compound.
Wow..
I used ride in this car with Krishna Rao’s kids(Vasu, Prema)when they lived in Lloyds Road in the 50’s when i was a little kid.
Ram: Brilliant man ….
In Kuwait, I have seen that one of the most popular economy car is a Chevrolet boat car model that I believe can be bought for about Kuwait Dinars 250 or so. (One KD = approx. Rs.170).
It is low maintenance and parts are said to be available easily they say.
Those are not however, vintage variety like the one you have captured.
Ram: Oh …. would love too see a picture of it in your blog soon (if you have one)
She’s a beauty!
Ram: We agree … 🙂
