Kamala Theatre @ Vadapalani, few of the surviving Cinema Halls, had undergone facelift a year back to face the competition onslaught from Multiplexes. Located at Arcot Road, Vadapalani.

Interesting that this theater still survives. I lived at Gowri Chitra Gardens right next door to the Vadapalani Bus Terminus for three years before I left India permanently, a little over ten years ago now. A lot of the old structures were already coming down then with malls and apartment complexes replacing them. it is nice to see some old structures survive, though I have no idea for how long.
Ram : I guess the Gowri Chitra Gardens is now the Vijay Shanti Apt block … next to the Bus Terminus…..
