Rao is there now and gone tomorrow. Spotted besides the Somasundaram Playground, T Nagar, the caste names dropped out of the street names like Desika, Saravana, Ulagappa streets, which dropped the Chari, Mudali & Maistry from them respectively. Soon the other Name sign will be whitewashed with the “Rao” in it.

My educated guess is this place was called after N T Rama Rao, and his film production house National Art Theatre Pvt Ltd situated here. [But that’s an educated guess, yet to ascertain the facts].
