Was surprised to know this grand old Kapaleeswarar temple was destroyed by the portugese, was a jain temple and later became again a Hindu temple. So much of history man.

Kapaleeshwarar temple was originally built near the seashore. They shifted it to Mylapore and in the original location of the temple Santhome Church was built. This has been researched and found out by a historian Mr.Narasiah.
