The MTC Bus services have atlast started to use Tata’s buses too, if my memory is right the last i saw Tata’s buses in Chennai MTC fleet was about 20-22 years ago. This Marco Polo buses from the Tata stable should be an explorer, like the person who made that name famous in 13th century.

MTC has been regularly buying Tata buses (approx 10%). The present fleet of MTC has some old Tata buses inducted in 2003-04 in the T.Nagar (TN), Alandur (AL) and Mandavali (MN) depots. Tata buses were inducted into these depots as well as Poonamalle depot (PM) in 1996-97 as well.
