With the festive season starting now with Dasara, Ramzan, Deepavali and till Christmas / pongal, the shopping spree also starts. The traditional shopping areas are T Nagar, Parry’s Corner & Purasawalkam. But now the shops & retail chains have branches across the city and people (read, like me) shop in their neighbourhoods too.
So planning ahead of the festivals, i want to beat the mad rush, i’ll wait to choose some good deals and quiet neighbourhoods to shop make festiove shopping more pleasant experience now.
Oh look at all the lovely fabric! I regret not purchasing more during our trip to Chennai. I did manage to buy 3 sari’s though, but I can’t bear to cut them up to use as fabric for my sewing.
