Pazhaverkadu also known as Pulicat Lake is about 50+ kms close to chennai. The right turn after reaching Ponneri Junction on the Kolkatta Highway.
This is a seamouth and an amazing water locale. Places to see are a Dutch cemetry, Light house and a bird sanctuary. This confluence of backwaters has a lovely catamaran ride also in store for the visitors.

We know very well that all these places have no trained life guards around.
Ram: The influence of water can’t be a limiting factor to check out the backwaters, and if we are used to driving in the city roads, the lack of trained life guards doesn’t matter. 🙂
