The Young Mens Christian Association aka YMCA has quite a few branches in Chennai. Namely at Kilpauk, Royapettah, Vepery, Nandanam & Ashok Nagar. This International Youth Centre, near the Doveton Clock tower, is their latest renovation in Vepery into a well equipped and maintained facility. They boast a gymnasium, swimming pool, well appointed rooms, a conference hall & cafeteria.
That does look like a nice facility – huge, too! I had no idea the YMCA was spread all over the world. Just ignorance on my part, I guess.

I am a Life Member of YMCA but so far i have not used their facilities. They have some excellent properties around the world. I have seen the facility in Hong Kong and Singapore – very impressive, very cheap and centrally located.
