Pyrus pyrifolia aka the Nashi Pear, the sub group of a pear, which doesn’t have the pear shape. Season just ended for this fruit this year. Last stocks at Tana Street, Purasawalkam.

Pear is my very favorite fruit. What we get in Kuwait is slightly different with red tinges on the skin, sweeter and bit watery. There is another version coming from China called Golden Pears. However, they do not taste as well as the green+red ones do.
