Today is the 100th anniversary of the Bombing of Chennai (Madras) during World war 1 (The Only Indian City hit by Karl von Müller’s Ship) and the damage was on Oil Tankers and part of the Madras High Court wall. It was on the eve of Navarathiri (Dashera).
Interestingly, the word “Emden” found its way in the collouqial vocabulary referring to a cunning person who is often implacably vindictive.
